12 built-in sewing stitches

With 12 built-in sewing stitches, the Puggle 2 allows you to add a variety of creative stitches to your projects. Choose from 3 zigzag, 1 x 4 step buttonhole, 4 straight stitches, 1 elastic (or 3 step zigzag stitch) and 1 blind hem stitch. Your chosen stitch can be easily selected using the pattern selection dial.

Add buttons to your projects using the 4 step buttonhole feature. The length of your buttonhole is determined by when you stop.

Handles light and heavy fabrics

This machine can handle both light and heavy fabrics, so you can tackle a variety of projects. Sew up to 5 layers of denim and 2 layers of chiffon.

Easy thread trimmer

Trim your thread easily in one motion with the convenient thread trimmer positioned on the left of the machine.

Easy speed control

She is amazing - she was hard working from the beginning. She might be small but she is strong, especially for the price. The only problem i have is threading the needle - not really a puggle problem more due to ageing eyesight - i would love a built in needle threader, I would happily give up the thread cutter for one. Great machine,and great service . Thanks

I took this little sewing machine camping with me for a month. Before buying I spent considerable time reviewing and comparing machines that would be suitable for travel and this ticked all the boxes, especially the option of cable or battery use. This matters in a camping environment when you can't always be sure of being on the grid for power. Being light and compact it is perfect for travelling. Once I became accustomed to how to use it the performance was terrific. It’s not as speedy as my machine at home but it doesn't need to be. There are a variety of stitches for basic sewing and I enjoyed using it. At home I am tending to go to the Puggle first for quick repairs now, or to take to another room other than my sewing room. In the past I have been impressed with the service and reliability of Echidna Sewing, and if I had a problem with the product, I’m sure I would be able to troubleshoot it with their assistance, although that has not been necessary. Although at first I had to read the manual carefully to manage the tension and understand the speed options, the answers were there and so I’m sure a beginner sewer would manage. Glad I bought it and happy to recommend.

I have been very impressed with how well this machine sews with the price point it is. I have been teaching my grandchildren to sew using the puggle, and they have managed it well. During recent black outs I sewed using batteries (and sewed a dress without any problems) I usually sew without the foot piece and use the control on the front of the machine. The stitching is even, threads don’t tangle and for such a lightweight machine it feels solid. One thing to remember that because it is a basic machine the needle doesn’t disengage when winding the bobbin. I can recommend the puggle, if you understand it is basic, and stitch lengths are preset. It’s great value. The puggle will be coming with me in the caravan.

Absolutely love this portable machine. I am a busy quilter and at home I have my favourite Janome sewing machine, however we have started travelling in our caravan and this little beauty is light, fits in small cupboard and works on battery for when camping off-grid. I love it and recommend it to anyone who wants to travel and still keep sewing.
