HTV Blocks

HTV Blocks main image

The final block we will be asking you to create for the Flowers in the Sun Community project is using heat transfer vinyl (HTV) and working with the ScanN Cut.

We guide you through using an SVG file, preparing the HTV for cutting and working with fabric for the background. Lastly, we show you how easy it is to iron the HTV to the blue background fabric to create a quick and easy block. These creations will form an element in a quilt that will be joined together as part of our Flowers in the Sun community project.

Products used

To join this project, we kindly request the purchase of the design pack, which includes all design files intended for use in the project. All proceeds from the purchase of this product throughout the 2024 calendar year will be donated to the Australian Melanoma Research Foundation.

Background fabric requirements

During each demonstration, we will provide the products used to create each block. If you're sending in your contribution, please use any solid blue shade for the background fabric and ensure the final fabric block is 12" x 12" to allow us to trim the blocks as needed. We just ask that you centre the design on the block as best as you can.
