Generous 210mm Sewing Workspace
The generous 210mm of space to the right of the needle gives you plenty of room for managing larger projects such as quilts, garments, bags and home furnishings. The workspace measures approximately 210mm wide x 120mm high, giving you comfortable access and visibility while you sew.

Extra Wide Extension Table Included

With a maximum sewing speed of 860 stitches per minute, the Skyline 3 lets you work efficiently through long seams and larger projects while still providing the control needed for detailed sewing.
Colour LCD Screen
The colour character LCD screen features colour icons and clearly displays important stitch information. Stitch settings are easy to read at a glance, helping make stitch selection and adjustment straightforward while you sew.
Easy Stitch Viewer
Preview your selected stitch on screen before you start sewing with the Easy Stitch Viewer, helping you visualise the stitch pattern before stitching it onto your project.
Free Arm Sewing
Remove the accessory storage section to access the free arm, making it easier to sew tubular and hard-to-reach areas such as cuffs, sleeves and trouser legs.
7mm Stitch Width
With a maximum stitch width of 7mm, the Skyline 3 gives you plenty of scope for decorative stitching, appliqué and everyday sewing techniques.
5mm Stitch Length
Adjust stitch length up to 5mm to suit different fabrics, threads and sewing techniques, from shorter construction stitches through to longer topstitching.
71 Needle Positions
Fine-tune your stitch placement with 71 needle positions adjustable in 0.1mm increments. Precise needle positioning is useful for techniques such as topstitching, edge stitching, quilting and working with different seam allowances.
7 Built-In Buttonholes
The Skyline 3 includes seven built-in buttonholes, giving you options for different garments, fabrics and finishing techniques.
Built-In Monogramming
Personalise your sewing with a built-in Block style font and three alphabets, giving you the ability to add names, initials, labels and other text directly from the machine.
Easy Needle Threading
Janome's Superior Needle Threader 2 helps make threading the needle quick and convenient, reducing the fiddly setup involved when changing thread or starting a new project.
7-Piece Feed Dog System
The 7-piece feed dog system provides reliable contact with the fabric to help feed material smoothly beneath the presser foot. Consistent feeding is particularly useful when working across different fabrics, multiple layers and longer seams.
Drop Feed
Lower the feed dogs when you want greater control over fabric movement. Drop feed is useful for techniques such as free-motion quilting and free-motion stitching where you guide the fabric yourself.
Manual Presser Foot Pressure Adjustment
Adjust the amount of pressure applied by the presser foot to better suit the fabric you're sewing. Reducing or increasing pressure can help improve feeding when working with lightweight, delicate, stretchy or heavier materials.
Extra High Presser Foot Lift
The extra high presser foot lift provides additional clearance beneath the presser foot, making it easier to position thicker fabrics, bulky seams and multiple layers before you begin sewing.
Thread Tension Control
Fine-tune the upper thread tension using the manual tension dial, allowing you to adjust the tension to suit different fabrics, threads and sewing techniques.
Automatic Thread Cutter
Finish your sewing quickly and neatly with the built-in automatic thread cutter. Simply press the thread cutter button to trim the upper and bobbin threads at the end of your stitching.
Easy Set Top-Loading Bobbin
The easy-set top-loading bobbin with full rotary hook system makes bobbin changes quick and straightforward. The clear bobbin cover also lets you keep an eye on your remaining bobbin thread while you sew.
Built-In Bobbin Winder
Wind bobbins directly on the machine using the built-in bobbin winder, making it easy to prepare additional bobbins whenever you need them.
LED Workspace Lighting
Built-in LED lighting illuminates the needle and sewing area, helping you see your fabric, stitches and sewing position more clearly while you work.
Convenient Function Buttons
Frequently used sewing controls are positioned within easy reach on the front of the machine. Start and stop sewing, reverse, secure your stitching with the lockstitch function, trim your threads and raise or lower the needle without navigating through menus.
Memorised Needle Up/Down Function
Set the needle to stop in the up or down position when you pause sewing. Keeping the needle down is particularly useful when pivoting around corners, appliquéing or quilting, helping keep your work securely positioned as you turn the fabric.
Speed Control Slider
Adjust the machine's maximum sewing speed using the conveniently positioned speed control slider. Slow things down for detailed or precise sewing, or increase the speed when working through longer seams and larger projects.
Foot Control Included
Control your sewing speed naturally with the included foot control, or choose to sew without it using the machine's Start/Stop button.
Snap-On Presser Feet
Quickly change between compatible snap-on presser feet as you move between different sewing techniques, without needing to remove the entire presser foot holder.
Knee Lift Compatibility
The Skyline 3 is compatible with an optional knee lift, allowing you to raise the presser foot with your knee while keeping both hands on your project. This can be particularly useful when quilting, pivoting, appliquéing or handling larger pieces of fabric.
