Silicone Oil is ideal for lubricating old threads or threads that have dried out and require lubrication. This bottle consists of pure silicone oil, so there are no other elements diluting the oil, allowing your thread to get the most out of it. Your thread spool will be as good as new and ready to stitch after a small coating of this Silicone Oil.

We recommend adding a few lines of oil around your spoil, using small drops lengthwise up your thread spool. Leave it to soak up and when it is dry, your thread is ready to use!

Lubricating your thread is important and will prevent thread breakages and give you an overall better stitching result.

I had tried everything I could think of when my embroidery thread was splitting when it suddenly dawned on me that the thread could be too dry. Following Gary's video on how to apply oil to the thread it solved my thread splitting and breaking issues. Have since oiled every open embroidery spool I have with no more splitting and breakage thread issues.
