Beginner's ScanNCut is a series of 5 self-paced lessons designed to take you through the fundamentals of the ScanNCut machine. During this series you will create 3 projects where you learn to edit, adjust settings, scan and cut. You will master new skills from saving and transferring designs to resizing, rotating and mirroring designs. Practice hands-on basic cutting, drawing and scanning and then use the wonderful features of your machine like the half cut function, connecting to WiFi and CanvasWorkspace.

Ideal for someone who is new to ScanNCut and wants to master the basics. This series is suitable for an SDX model, SDX1000, SDX1200 or SDX2200 (not suitable for DesignNCut or CM models. View our Beginner ScanNCut series for CM models here →).

No kit is needed for this online class but we will provide you with a list of suggested materials to complete the projects.

We'll take a look at all the tools that come in the box with your machine, plus the optional tools that are available.

Learn to navigate your machine and experience a more in-depth look at all the settings.

Learn to work with a variety of mediums including paper, card, adhesive vinyl and heat transfer vinyl.

Scroll through the built-in designs and projects available in your machine. We will be completing three projects in this series, two of them using in-built designs on your machine.

Yes, that's right. This series is completed online so all you need is an internet connection! You will gain instant access to the tutorial videos through your online customer account on our website. You can complete this series of classes from your home!

Complete this class series at a time that suits you. Your class videos will be available to you forever so you can finish this series at your own pace.

I recommend this course to anyone who owns or is considering purchasing a 1200SDX Scan and Cut machine or similar product. The course is extremely comprehensive and provides excellent information on how to get the fullest use out of your machine. The course is value for money, given you have life time access to the lessons and projects, that are included in the package, to get you inspired and started on your creative journey. All the setting up and other important operation functions are covered in clear, easy to follow and concise detail. An extremely welcome and helpful course by Echidna Sewing plus there is a Facebook help site to answer any questions you have or to simply share your creations with the rest of the members.
