This presser foot is used for piecing together patchwork with a seam allowance of 1/4" (6.5mm). Simply align the edge of the fabric with the presser foot guide to sew. The guide is short at the front and back making this presser foot perfect for sewing not only straight lines but also curves.

By: Deb on 29 April 2024I used this foot for the first time recently and am impressed with the consistent accuracy I'm getting with my 1/4" seams. I'm not sure if this is because the presser foot is shorter than I'm used to, but I love it!
