Weighing under 2.5kg, the Puggle 2 takes up little to no space. It's perfect for small spaces and an excellent choice if you attend classes or travel in a caravan. It's also a fabulous option for children to learn and start their sewing journey.
12 built-in sewing stitches
With 12 built-in sewing stitches, the Puggle 2 allows you to add a variety of creative stitches to your projects. Choose from 3 zigzag, 1 x 4 step buttonhole, 4 straight stitches, 1 elastic (or 3 step zigzag stitch) and 1 blind hem stitch. Your chosen stitch can be easily selected using the pattern selection dial.
4 step buttonhole
Add buttons to your projects using the 4 step buttonhole feature. The length of your buttonhole is determined by when you stop.
Handles light and heavy fabrics
This machine can handle both light and heavy fabrics, so you can tackle a variety of projects. Sew up to 5 layers of denim and 2 layers of chiffon.
Easy thread trimmer
Trim your thread easily in one motion with the convenient thread trimmer positioned on the left of the machine.
Easy speed control
You're in control! You have the ability to set your sewing speed from slow to fast to suit the project at hand.
Reverse sewing
Lock your stitching and ensure it doesn’t come undone with the reverse sewing lever. This is especially important for some areas of the construction of garments.
Visible drop-in bobbin
The top loading bobbin features a clear cover so you can easily see when your bobbin thread is running low. It holds a standard A style bobbin, which is top loaded by simply removing the cover and dropping it in.
Automatic thread winding
Bobbin winding is a breeze with the automatic thread winding feature on this machine. Wind your own and keep your bobbins topped up using this handy function.
Adjustable thread tension
Achieve the best quality stitching by easily adjusting the upper and lower thread tension on the machine.
Free arm
Use the free arm to sew tubular items and projects like sleeves, trouser hems, necklines, armholes and more.

Wonderful
By: Michelle on 16 October 2024It's a great little machine that works so well. I will be taking it travelling with me. It's small and compact and sew so well. The video tutorials are very helpful. I haven't tried it on batteries yet so don't know how long they would last.

Puggle2 sewing maching

Before buying I spent considerable time reviewing and comparing machines that would be suitable for travel and this ticked all the boxes, especially the option of cable or battery use. This matters in a camping environment when you can't always be sure of being on the grid for power. Being light and compact it is perfect for travelling. Once I became accustomed to how to use it the performance was terrific. It’s not as speedy as my machine at home but it doesn't need to be. There are a variety of stitches for basic sewing and I enjoyed using it. At home I am tending to go to the Puggle first for quick repairs now, or to take to another room other than my sewing room. In the past I have been impressed with the service and reliability of Echidna Sewing, and if I had a problem with the product, I’m sure I would be able to troubleshoot it with their assistance, although that has not been necessary. Although at first I had to read the manual carefully to manage the tension and understand the speed options, the answers were there and so I’m sure a beginner sewer would manage. Glad I bought it and happy to recommend.
