Tissue Box Bookmarks
Turn old tissue boxes into something both practical and creative with this simple bookmark project. By cutting out the cardboard sides and using your ScanNCut, you can transform everyday materials into custom-shaped bookmarks.
Finish them off with a tassel or keep them simple, the choice is yours. It’s a quick, satisfying project that’s perfect for using what you already have while still achieving a polished result.

What you will need:
- Cutting machine (Brother ScanNCut, Cricut, Silhouette, etc)
- Tissue Box
- Vinyl Spatula
- Washi/Masking tape
- Scissors
- Ribbon or Embroidery Floss Tassel (hand embroidery thread)

Steps:
- Download the SVG file for your chosen bookmark shape and save it onto a USB to load directly into your cutting machine, or send it via CanvasWorkspace Desktop.
- Use Vinyl Spatula to help flatten your tissue boxes.

- Use the scissors to cut out the sides of the box that have no text or hole.

- Place a tissue box cut out onto your low-tack cutting mat.

- Use a brayer to secure it firmly, and masking tape if your mat is losing tack.

- Load the mat into your ScanNCut, holding it level as it feeds in.
- Load the design from the USB (2). If you are sending from CanvasWorkspace via Wifi select (3).
- Select the bookmark shape, click Edit, then choose Object Edit.
- Resize the bookmark shape by selecting the Resize icon (1) to your desired size.
- Use the Scan feature to scan in the cardstock and confirm that no shapes are off the edge of the tissue box card.
- Send the design to cut. Ensure half cut is turned OFF.

- Remove the cut bookmarks and discard the excess tissue card.


- Add ribbon or create a tassel using embroidery floss to complete your personalised laminated bookmark.
