The Janome Horizon Memory Craft 8300QC brings together generous sewing space, advanced quilting features and intuitive controls in a versatile computerised sewing machine. Building on the popular Memory Craft 8200QCP, it introduces improved fabric feeding, a high-definition colour screen and more stitch options.
With an expansive 280mm (11") workspace, 200 built-in stitches, 10 buttonhole styles and Janome's AcuFeed system, the MC8300QC is designed for everything from dressmaking and decorative sewing to patchwork and larger quilting projects.
Enjoy sewing speeds of up to 1,000 stitches per minute, five white LED lights across three locations and practical conveniences such as automatic thread cutting and an adjustable knee lifter.

Generous 11" Sewing Workspace
Enjoy the freedom to work on larger projects with the Horizon's expansive 280mm (11") workspace. The additional room to the right of the needle makes it easier to manoeuvre bulky quilts, larger fabric pieces and other projects that require extra space.
3.5" High-Definition Colour LCD Screen
The upgraded 3.5" colour LCD screen provides a bright, clear interface for selecting, adjusting and combining stitches. Its intuitive layout makes it easy to navigate stitch categories, mirror designs and customise your sewing settings.
200 Built-in Stitches
Choose from 200 built-in stitches, including utility, decorative and quilting stitches, along with 10 buttonhole styles. Stitches are organised into convenient categories for quick selection, with a stitch reference chart inside the machine lid.
6 Monogramming Fonts
Add a personalised touch to projects with six built-in monogramming fonts featuring letters and numbers. Create labels, decorative lettering and personalised details directly on your sewing machine.
Advanced 7-Piece Feed Dog System
The redesigned 7-piece feed dog system uses the same feed dog style found in Janome's premium Continental models. It helps provide smooth fabric feeding and better control when sewing over thick seams, uneven layers and heavyweight fabrics.
Janome AcuFeed System
Janome's AcuFeed system helps feed fabric layers evenly, making it especially useful for quilting, matching patterned fabrics and sewing projects with multiple layers. A dual AcuFeed foot is supplied with the machine. The AcuFeed balance dial allows fine adjustments to the upper feed when needed.
Variable Zigzag Control
Expand your creative possibilities with variable zigzag control. When the function is activated, pressing the foot control more or less changes the zigzag stitch width as you sew.
Stitch Combination Memory
Combine up to 100 stitch characters to create personalised decorative sequences and lettering. Save and recall favourite stitch combinations so you can use them again on future projects.
Needle Up/Down with Memory
Choose whether the needle stops in the raised or lowered position when you finish sewing. The machine remembers your preferred setting, providing convenience when pivoting fabric, quilting or working on detailed projects. This is a needle position setting, not an automatic presser foot pivot function.
Speed Control Slider and 1,000 SPM Sewing Speed
Adjust the maximum sewing speed using the convenient speed control slider. Slow things down for detailed work or increase the pace up to 1,000 stitches per minute when sewing long seams, piecing quilts or working on larger projects.
Bright LED Lighting
Five white LED lights positioned across three locations illuminate the sewing area, helping you see your fabric, stitching and needle position more clearly.
Automatic Programmable Thread Cutter
Trim the upper and bobbin threads together at the touch of a button. Automatic thread cutting can also be linked to the auto lock-off function, with settings adjustable through the machine menu.
9mm Stitch Width and 91 Needle Positions
Explore decorative stitching with a maximum 9mm stitch width and position your needle precisely using 91 available needle positions. The machine also supports stitch lengths up to 5mm.
Adjustable Presser Foot Pressure
Adjust the presser foot pressure using the seven-level dial to better suit different fabrics and sewing tasks, from lighter materials to thicker layers.

Easy-Change Needle Plates
Switch between the included standard zigzag needle plate and straight stitch needle plate to suit your project. Useful guide markings on the needle plate assist with accurate seam positioning.
Adjustable Knee Lifter
Keep both hands on your fabric while raising or lowering the presser foot using the included adjustable knee lifter, particularly useful when handling larger quilts and detailed sewing.
One-Step Needle Threader
The built-in one-step needle threader helps make threading the needle quicker and easier, so you can spend more time sewing.
Start/Stop Button and Safety Controls
Sew without the foot control using the convenient start/stop button, or use the foot control for hands-on speed adjustment. The lock-out key helps prevent accidental operation while changing needles or presser feet, and the machine will not sew while the presser foot is raised.
Reverse Stitch and Locking Stitch Buttons
Secure seams using the dedicated reverse and locking stitch buttons. Reverse stitching reinforces seam beginnings and ends, while the lock-off function secures stitches neatly without having to turn your project around.
Easy Set Bobbin and Built-in Bobbin Winder
The top-loading, drop-in full rotary hook bobbin makes bobbin changes straightforward. Janome’s Easy Set bobbin system helps guide the thread into position, while the built-in bobbin winder lets you prepare another bobbin using the additional spool pin without unthreading the machine.
Extra High Presser Foot Lift
The extra-high presser foot lift provides additional clearance when positioning bulky quilts, layered fabrics and thicker sewing projects beneath the foot. It is particularly useful when starting seams on substantial materials.
Convertible Free Arm
Remove the accessory storage box to access the free arm, making it easier to sew smaller tubular items such as sleeves, cuffs and trouser hems. Switch back to the flat sewing bed when you need a broader surface for everyday sewing.
Drop Feed for Free-Motion Sewing
Lower the feed dogs when you want to move the fabric freely, such as for free-motion quilting, thread painting and other creative techniques. Raise them again for regular sewing with the machine’s 7-piece feed system.
